D&D Auto World made it two wins in two when they edged AMAAS Sporting Services Barbados-Veterans by 9 runs at Arnos Vale 2 in Group A of the Fete Division of the 2025 SVG International Masters T20 Cricket Festival on Thursday.
D&D Auto World made 144 for 6 in 18 overs with Nizam Isahk scoring 35 while Anthony Sanadeo added 34.
Ryan Thomas snared 3 for 27 with the ball for Amaas Sporting Services Barbados Veterans who were restricted to 135 for 6 when their 18 overs ran out.
Winston Warren’s 32 and 20 each by Toriano Harbin and Rodney Husbands were not enough to take Amaas to their target.
Krishna Rampat grabbed 3 for 25 to ensure the victory for D & D Auto World.
Also in a Group A Fete Division encounter at Stubbs, Canada Masters Cricket Club held off Munro Road Masters to win by 30 runs. Canada Masters got up to 172 for 7 in 20 overs with Naveed Sehrai 47, Srinivasan Kasavan 30 and Sajjad Mustafa Din 29 leading the batting.
Baliram Nayak 3 for 48 and Kumar Rampersad 2 for 18 were the pick of the bowlers for Munro Road Masters, who fell short of their target, ending on 142-8 in 20 overs. Anil Barlo top-scored with 39. Curtis Richards 3 for 37 and Naveed Sehrai 2 for 17 secured the win for Canada Masters.
VJ’s North Windward Masters had the better of Rungetters Sports Club by 5 wickets in a Group B Fete Division matchup at Park Hill.
Rungetters Sport Club scored 124 for 5 off their 20 overs with Luke Latiff hitting 33 and Amzad Mohammad adding 27.
Brendon Child’s 3 for 9 from 4 overs was the best return for a VJ’s North Windward Masters who replied with 125-5 in 14.4 overs to secure the win.
Keon Boyea’s 54 not out laid the platform for the win. Derry Ramjattan 2 for 22 and Sunil Dassyne 2 for 24 were the best figures from Rungetters Sports Club.
Also, in the Group B Fete Division, Woodland Masters beat Sarasota by 5 wickets at Arnos Vale 2 Playing Field.
Sarasota got up to 140 for 6 in 20 overs. Mario Romain led the batting with 43 and Arun Lamba made 35.
David Mohammed took 3 for 18 for Woodland Masters. Set 115 to get in 15 overs on the Duckworth Lewis Method, Woodland Masters reply with 120 for 5 in 12 overs.
Chris Brathwaite 23 and Navin Mungoo 21 led the victory charge for Woodland Masters.
In the Festival Division, Clarke Road Veterans took down North East Masters by 35 runs at Park Hill playing field.
Clarke Road Veterans totalled 141 for 5 in a reduced 19 overs, hinged solely on a 51-ball 81 not out by Mahadeo Movnesar. Rajiv Roberts picked up 3 for 24 bowling for North East Masters.
Set 147 to win on the DL Method, North East Masters who could only manage 112-7 in reply when their overs ran out.
Elton Williams topscored for North East Masters while Andre Browne took 2 for 12 in 4 overs to complete the win for Clarke Road Veterans.
RSVG Police Masters defeated Adjutant General’s Corps Cricket Club by 8 wickets at the Arnos Vale 1 Playing Field in one of three matches involving Adjutant General’s Corps Cricket Club on the day.
Adjutant General’s Corps Cricket Club scored 131 for 8 in 20 overs. Azan Baig 45 and Reagan Mclean 32 were their principal scorers.
Olanzo Jackson, with 3 for 7, was in fine form with the ball for the RSVG Police Masters who lost 2 wickets in 14.3 overs as they reached 137 for 2.
Hyron Shallow 63 not out and Mcleon Williams 37 orchestrated the win for RSVG Police Masters.
Adjutant General’s Corps Cricket Club also went under to Mustique Company Masters by 9 runs also at the Arnos Vale 1 Playing Field.
Mustique Company Masters shot up to 193 for 2 in 20 overs behind a splendid 66-ball 119 not out by Shem Browne. Roshron John picked up both wickets to fall at the cost of 22 runs.
Adjutant in reply managed 184 all out in 18.4 overs. Roshron John 69 and Reagan Mclean 42 made a valiant effort to reach the target.
Colbert Raimie 4 for 33 and Rohan Blake 3 for 36 secured the victory for Mustique Company Masters.
Sarasota also defeated Adjutant by 4 wickets. Adjutant scored 106 for 5 in 15 overs. Sumith Surendran 26 and Reagan Mclean 23 led the batting.
Warren Mcgregor 4 for 21 bowled well for Sarasota who reached 114 for 6 in 13.4 overs. Ruan Hart led the way with 33 while Alwyn Wessels added 20 to reduce Adjutant to their third consecutive defeat.
Sumith Surendran 3 for 14 bowled well for.
The preliminary round of the Festival will end later on Friday with one Festival Division encounter between Adjutant and North Leeward Masters from 9:30 a.m. at the Sion Hill Playing Field.
