In a deeply unsettling case, a young girl who is a student at the Georgetown Secondary School has come forward with allegations of sexual assault involving her teacher, who is reportedly also in a relationship with her mother.
According to initial reports gathered by Cliplet News, The minor, whose identity is being withheld for her protection, stated that she has been subjected to repeated abuse by her teacher over an extended period. The allegations include disturbing claims that the teacher exploited his position of authority and trust within the school, manipulating the vulnerable young girl while using his relationship with her mother as a means to maintain control over the situation.
Cliplet News was also informed by the minor that these allegations has been on-going for the past year, and finally had the courage to speak out. She also noted that on different occasion’s her teacher will ask her to wait for him after school above a forestry road near the Georgetown Health Centre.
Upon arrival at the location, the minor said her teacher will sometimes take her to a forest area, and would have sexual intercourse with her and sometimes force her into doing oral. At times the minor told Cliplet News she will ‘scream and beg’ her teacher to stop, and he would refuse. She also noted that these events occurred at her home and sometimes her mother will also be present.
The minor also told Cliplet News that on many occasion, she was given Emergency Contraceptive Pills.
When we asked the minor if she had reported the abuse to her mother or the police, she indicated that her mother is aware of the situation. The traumatised teenager stated that her mother has warned her to remain silent, suggesting that financial support from the teacher, who is in a relationship with her mother, would cease if she spoke out.
Cliplet News also tried reaching out to the Principal of Georgetown Secondary School, but was unsuccessful.
