An adult woman from rural area in St. Vincent and the Grenadines has come forward alleging that her Member of Parliament requested sexual favors in exchange for providing support and supplies. The woman, who has chosen to remain anonymous, shared her account with Cliplet News in an effort to bring attention to what she describes as an abuse of power.
According to the woman, the MP — who she identifies as representing her area — suggested that assistance, including building materials and other resources, would be contingent on her agreeing to a sexual relationship.
She told Cliplet News, “He told me that if I wanted help, I would have to sleep with him.” She said she refused the alleged demand and that, as a result, the support she sought was withheld. “After I said no, I never received any of the materials or assistance he had promised.”
The woman claims that she is not the only constituent to have experienced this type of pressure, but Cliplet News has not independently verified those additional accounts.
She emphasized that her complaint is a personal allegation against the MP and urged that the matter be taken seriously, expressing concern about the broader implications for trust in political leadership and fairness in the distribution of aid.
The woman’s allegations come amid growing calls for transparency and accountability within political offices, particularly regarding the fair and ethical distribution of assistance and resources to constituents.
