A video circulating widely on social media has ignited fresh debate ahead of the 27 November election, after the former NDP Young Democrats President delivered sharp criticism of the party’s leadership and questioned the preparedness of Dr. Godwin Friday.

In the recording, the former youth leader describes what she calls a “chaotic” approach within the New Democratic Party and claims she “experienced Godwin Friday’s laziness with her own eyes.” She argues that the party lacks a clear strategic direction and says that her own time within the organisation exposed what she views as weaknesses in leadership and planning.

Her comments come at a sensitive moment as both major parties intensify campaigning. The video has prompted discussion among supporters and political observers, with some questioning her motivations and others insisting that her perspective offers an important inside view of the party’s internal operations.

The post also drew attention because of public speculation—circulating mainly online—that the Unity Labour Party (ULP) may have influenced or encouraged her decision to speak out. There is no evidence presented to support these claims, and the suggestion remains purely an allegation arising from political commentary. Both parties have not issued formal statements addressing this specific rumour.

Political analysts note that such videos often shape public perception during an election cycle, particularly when they come from individuals once positioned inside a party’s youth wing. They also caution that, in the heated atmosphere of a national campaign, claims and counterclaims routinely emerge and should be assessed carefully.

As the election date approaches, the video serves as another reminder of the intense competition between the parties and the high stakes of political messaging. Voters will ultimately decide how much weight to give the former youth leader’s comments as they evaluate leadership, policy plans, and credibility across the political landscape.
