Ralph Gonsalves, the long-serving former Prime Minister of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, has entered a new phase of public engagement with the launch of a policy and consulting firm, Gonsalves & Partners.

Information published on the firm’s official website, gonsalves.vc, indicates that the consultancy will provide policy advice and strategic consulting services to governments, private sector organisations and civil society. Its work will focus on Small Island Developing States, political economy, regional integration, and Caribbean growth and development.

Gonsalves served five consecutive terms as prime minister between 2001 and 2025 and is regarded as one of the Caribbean’s most influential political leaders of the modern era. Throughout his tenure, he maintained a strong regional and international profile, advocating on issues affecting small states and playing an active role in Caribbean integration initiatives.

Gonsalves & Partners states that the firm’s work will be grounded in the former prime minister’s extensive experience as a Caribbean statesman, drawing on decades of involvement in governance, regional diplomacy and development policy.

The launch of the consultancy follows the 2025 general election, after which Gonsalves assumed the role of Leader of the Opposition. His move into policy advisory work reflects a shift from executive office, while maintaining active participation in regional and international policy discussions.

With the firm now operational, Gonsalves is expected to continue contributing to debates on Caribbean development and integration, offering advice from outside government while remaining engaged in public life.
