Former Member of Parliament Saboto Caesar has formally resumed his legal career after a 17-year hiatus from the profession. Earlier today, Caesar released a video announcing his return, filmed from inside his chambers as he settled back into the role of attorney-at-law for the first time in nearly two decades.

In his post, Caesar reflected on the personal side of his first day back, sharing that he was “officially on the job as Attorney-at-Law… and yes, I still had to pack snacks and check in on the kids.” He acknowledged that the transition from Parliament to legal practice “hasn’t been easy,” but emphasized that “purpose doesn’t retire.” Caesar framed the moment as evidence that reinvention is possible, noting that one can “honour your responsibilities as a parent, and still chase excellence.” He encouraged others beginning again in their own lives: “Don’t be afraid of a new beginning — just bring your experience with you.”

Throughout his political career, Caesar served as an MP and held multiple ministerial portfolios, becoming one of the more prominent figures in the nation’s public affairs. His decision to step back into legal work signals a significant personal and professional shift following years of national service.

While Caesar did not disclose the specific focus of his renewed practice, his return is expected to draw considerable public interest as he reintegrates into the legal community.

  1. The NDP should take a closer look at the police force. Many in the top spots must go through a thorough examination system to see if they were service the SVG nationals or the ULP.
Even the folks who help high spots in the previous government should be closely examined to determine if they worked for the government or for the wellbeing of the people.
Any police who were involved in disturbing and breaking into peaceful demonstrations should be booted or demoted.
