At a spirited Unity Labour Party (ULP) rally last night, Prime Minister Ralph Gonsalves delivered an emotional appeal to supporters and former party faithful, urging them to “come back home to Labour” as the nation moves toward another crucial political showdown.

Speaking to an energized crowd, PM Gonsalves repeated his message with visible passion:
“Please, please — come back home to Labour if you’re a stray. Help us to lift you. Help us to lift these comrades up. We’re going to first-world status, and we can get there together.”

The Prime Minister framed the upcoming contest against the New Democratic Party (NDP) as one of the most consequential in recent years. He called on citizens to rally behind the ULP once more, declaring that the party is ready to deliver even more progress for the country and to “beat the NDP worse than before.”

Gonsalves went on to say he was “deeply pleased” with the unity shown at the event and emphasized that every supporter — whether long-standing or returning — played a vital role in shaping the country’s future.

While critics argue that the rally rhetoric reflects rising political tensions, ULP members celebrated the turnout as proof that enthusiasm remains strong.

As election season intensifies, both parties are expected to escalate their campaign efforts, but for Gonsalves and the ULP, the message last night was unmistakable: unity, loyalty, and a renewed push toward what the Prime Minister called “the next chapter of national upliftment.”

  1. Ralph floated the idea of leaving mid-term. He just wants the glory and fame to his name from winning a Sixth term. This election, with him as the leader of the ULP, is all about him. Vincentions will have to decide if they will pencil him in for HIS sake or erase him for theirs.
